The film spent a lot of time focusing on this fairly irrelevant footage, and felt too similar to Chronicle, another film in the found footage sub-genre. The only negative thing I have to say about it is that *spoilers* when Jesse got possessed by the demon on becoming 18, he gained supernatural like abilities.
